School Council News

Our School Council met on Monday 19th May and spent their time actively engaged in discussion to support the development and ongoing improvement of our school.

We are delighted to announce that Mr Chris Sutcliffe, a community member on Council, has been returned to the role of Council President for 2025. On behalf of Council and our broader community we would like to thank Chris for taking on this role and for his ongoing investment in our school.

Discussions at Council included building a better understanding of our school community for Council members. This discussion shared the demographics of our school community to further support Council in their decision making and the need to reflect the needs of our community. We also talked about the upcoming school review and continued efforts to ensure consistent teaching staff in front of every class. There was significant discussion around our Year 9 program for 2026, including subjects that will be offered and our application to secure spots for students at the School for Student Leadership. We closed our meeting with a discussion around facilities and projected enrolments for 2026 and beyond.
