School Council Elections

The 2025 School Council elections window is now open and we are looking for student, parent and staff representatives to help guide the strategic operations of our school into the future.

All government schools in Victoria have a school council. They are legally constituted bodies that are given powers to set the key directions of a school within state-wide guidelines. School Council in collaboration with the school leadership sets the strategic direction for the school.

Parents on school councils provide important viewpoints and have valuable skills that can help shape the direction of the school. Those parents who become active on a school council find their involvement satisfying and may also find that their children feel a greater sense of belonging.

In 2025, nominations for parent, school employee and student representatives on school council will open on Friday 14^th February. Nomination forms are available from the Office, attached to this Compass Notification and available on our website. Nominations for all positions must be lodged at our School Office and will close at 4pm on Friday 21^st February 2025.

The following School Council members are continuing their term of office through until the 2026 elections:

Parent Members – Geoff Griffin, Tina Kiri
School Employee Members – Adam Powell
Student Members – Braxton McAdam
Community Members – Chris Sutcliffe

On behalf of the school community, I would like to thank the following School Council members whose term of office concludes after our February 2025 meeting:

Our retiring members are more than welcome to re-nominate for School Council in 2025/2026.
